My husband and I feel very fortunate to live where we do -- an area that until recently was known as the flower seed capital of the world and, more recently, an area dedicated to producing world-class wines. joanjones > "Belluz House," is a restored Victorian here in Lompoc. I had help from above with this work. I still needed one more painting for a one-person show and H-Hour was fast approaching. On my way north on "A" street, I noticed the sun shining brilliantly on this house, so I pulled over to the curb, grabbed a pencil and a napkin, made a quick sketch, and drove home to paint this in a single session. By nightfall, I had matted and framed it, and my show was then ready to hang. Praise the Lord! (Not before nor since has a painting practically painted itself.)
